OKLAHOMA CITY (KFOR) — If you drive along the John Kilpatrick Turnpike in northwest Oklahoma City, you’ve probably noticed some construction west of Mercy Hospital on Memorial. That’s the new Ronald McDonald House, and it’s officially open.
“It absolutely is a beacon. It catches your eye,” said Teri Williams Ashworth, board chair of the Ronald McDonald House Charities of Oklahoma City.
The Ronald McDonald House, at 5601 W Memorial Rd., is a place for families to stay when they live far away from the hospital. They can stay for free for as long as their child is receiving clinical care…
