WOODBURN, Ind. (WANE) – The Allen County Sheriff’s Department took one person into custody Thursday afternoon after crowding outside a Woodburn home for a standoff.
Sheriff’s officers were in the 22100 block of Maple Court to serve a felony warrant that afternoon. SWAT was prompted to respond around 1:15 p.m. because someone wouldn’t come outside.
Police used a chemical irritant to get them out of the house, and shortly after 2:30 p.m., police took someone into custody. Their identity has not been shared.
During the standoff, upwards of 10 unmarked vehicles lined the street alongside SWAT tanks. The area around the scene appeared to be a set of villas adjacent to an apartment complex…
