BRIGHTON, N.Y. (WROC) – As Brighton experiences an uptick in car thefts, the Brighton Police Department is offering tips to protect your car and your residence.
“It’s just a reminder that as much as we say it, it still sometimes doesn’t happen. We’ve seen an uptick, probably the last few weeks, or so, maybe the last month, with vehicles being stolen and vehicles being broken into. So, we just like to remind the public to lock their doors, their car doors, their house doors,” Lt. Allison Laubacher of the Brighton Police Department said.
She also advised people not to leave valuables in the car, especially the keys, as this is the current method of theft they are experiencing…
