HARRISBURG, N.C. (QUEEN CITY NEWS) — The Town of Harrisburg and TV industry are mourning one of their leaders after Councilman Chris Faw died recently. He was 64.
Faw had served the Harrisburg community as a council member since 2023 and retired a senior vice-president for Charter Communications, Spectrum’s parent company. Faw and his wife, Cathy, moved to the Harrisburg area nearly 30 years ago to raise their two children. The Cabarrus County town says over the years, the community became deeply woven into their lives.

“I am heartbroken by the loss of my friend and colleague. Chris was not just a member of our Town Council; he was someone I was grateful to know, to serve alongside, and to call a friend,” said Mayor Jennifer Teague. “Harrisburg has lost a dedicated public servant, but even more than that, we have lost a good man who cared deeply about people. My heart aches for his family, who meant everything to him. We will carry Chris’s memory with us, and we will forever be grateful for the many ways, seen and unseen, he gave of himself to our community.”
