Bay Minette, Ala. (WALA) – A Baldwin County jury has found Jared Smith-Bracy guilty of capital murder in the deaths of his brother, his grandparents and a family friend at their Daphne home in February 2023.
Smith-Bracy used a gun and a pickax to kill his brother, Jeremy, his grandparents, Barbara and Lenard Smith, and their friend, Sheila Glover.
The courtroom was filled with friends and relatives of the victims as the verdict was read. Family members said the guilty verdict was a relief after more than three years of waiting, but sitting through six days of testimony was difficult.
Glover had gone to the Smith home to visit and was killed alongside her friends…
