ROCHESTER, N.Y. (WROC) – As the anticipated closure of Waterview Heights Nursing & Rehabilitation Center in Rochester looms, many former employees have signed onto a federal class action lawsuit against the facility’s management.
Many are now speaking out against the alleged series of events leading up to the firing of more than 215 employees at the nursing home. Some claim they were given less than 60 days’ notice before the mass layoffs, which if true, could be a violation of the federal Worker Adjustment and Retraining Notification (WARN) Act.
