ATLANTA, Ga. (Atlanta News First) — A portion of I-285 remained closed Sunday between Cascade Road and Langford Parkway as crews worked on a weekend rebuilding project, forcing drivers to detour through nearby streets.
Residents said the closure has sent tractor-trailers onto Cascade Road, despite signs appearing to prohibit trucks from using the route.
“They were supposed to steer the traffic away from Cascade,” said David Jones. “Once you get off 285, if you go right or left on Cascade, it’s really not designed for truck traffic, so they don’t really have anywhere to go.”…
