LEXINGTON, Ky. (WKYT) — Residents gathered Sunday near Green Acres Park to voice sharp opposition to a proposed Lexington data center, just weeks before the city’s development moratorium is set to expire.
The pushback centers on Texas-based developer DartPoints, which recently purchased a portion of the former Lexmark campus off New Circle Road. The company plans to use 20 to 30 megawatts of power initially, with capacity to expand up to 70 megawatts.
