A new art cafe recently opened its doors, offering stained glass classes, art workshops and a cozy cafe atmosphere.
The Glassroom, 1124 N. Mason St. in Appleton, opened Sept. 2. Owners Derek and Sam Zickert created the business with the desire of fostering a space where community and art come together.
Derek has nearly 20 years of experience creating stained glass pieces. He met Sam, a Renaissance School for the Arts alumni, six years ago and says he showed her all there is to know about stained glass.
