STOUGHTON, Wis. (WFRV) – One man is in custody for Attempted 1st-Degree Homicide following a stabbing incident in Wisconsin early Saturday morning, authorities say.
According to a release from the Stoughton Police Department, officers responded at 12:23 a.m. to the area of Moline Street and Matthew Way for reports of a disturbance as a man was heard screaming that he had just gotten stabbed.

Officers found no active disturbance upon their arrival but did find blood in a nearby driveway and later found the victim at the Stoughton Hosital.
An investigation into the stabbing incident quickly identified and found a suspect. The suspect was arrested and is confined in the Dane County Jail on the following charges:
- Attempted 1st-Degree Homicide
- Battery
