ROCHESTER, N.Y. — A blaring alarm at a commercial building near Jay and Oak streets has been waking up neighbors and prompting 911 calls to Rochester police.
Chief investigative reporter Berkeley Brean of News10NBC was within earshot of the screeching sound as he spoke with residents Jacqueline Welch and her daughter Cynthia Harewood, who live around the corner.
The alarm goes “off, off, off, off”
“It just constantly goes off, off, off, off, off,” Harewood said.
“All night long and we drive school buses. We have to get up early in the morning and go to work and when the alarm goes off there goes our sleep time,” Welch said.
Their phone logs showed all the 911 calls they made about the alarm last week. Harewood said the alarm is loud enough to wake them up and ruin their sleep…
