LANSING, Mich. (News 10) – Musicians from across the Midwest are gathering in Old Town Lansing in an attempt to set a world record for the longest jam session.
The continuous performance is taking place at Urban Beat, where participants aim to play 60 consecutive hours of live music. The current world record stands at 57 hours, set in 2023 in Granada, Spain.
Official attempt rules require at least three musicians on stage at all times, with uninterrupted music and no breaks. Rather than standard songs, the session consists of improvised jamming, original pieces, and music in the public domain…
