New York City Mayor Zohran Mamdani praised comedian Ramy Youssef’s portrayal of him on “Saturday Night Live,” while highlighting the national attention the sketch brought to his $21 billion housing proposal. According to a video C-SPAN shared on social media, speaking during a press question-and-answer session, Mamdani said he viewed the mention of his plan as something worth celebrating because it introduced the project to a wider audience. He said:
