A northern Illinois community is mourning the loss of a high school senior whose death is drawing attention to a rare genetic disorder and inspiring tributes from classmates, family and friends.
Brennen Saele, 17, of New Lenox, died Sept. 19 after a complication linked to vascular Ehlers-Danlos syndrome, often called vascular EDS. His family said he passed away the same night his school held its homecoming dance, Yahoo! News reported.
