ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. — After nearly 60 years in business, Kap’s Diner in Albuquerque is set to close after Balloon Fiesta.
Kap’s Diner’s final day is set for Oct. 11, according to a social media post Sunday. The staple on Central Avenue has been open since 1968 but cited an increase in “drug activity and homelessness” for the closure, in an Albuquerque Journal report.
“We are so thankful for this community and we appreciate your business more than you know. Small business has never been easy but you all have made it worth it. We will be cooking up your favorites till the final day so please come say goodbye,” the diner stated…
