Woman sentenced after stealing luggage from SLC Airport

SALT LAKE CITY (ABC4) — An individual has been sentenced after stealing multiple bags from the Salt Lake City International Airport.

Leticia Marie Torres, 45, previously pleaded guilty to aiding and abetting in the theft of baggage from interstate shipment and illegal transactions with an access device. She has been sentenced to 13 months in prison, two years of supervised release.

Torres and two other individuals, Brianna Marie Taylor and Charles Masters, reportedly stole multiple pieces of luggage from the Salt Lake City Airport on various days in January 2022. According to court documents, Torres would also have stolen luggage delivered to her home.
