BYHALIA, Miss. — Employees at an Amazon fulfillment center in Byhalia, Mississippi were evacuated from the building Tuesday morning, with first responders on the scene.
By 10 a.m., workers could be seen moving back inside the building, and those first responders were leaving.
WREG has not yet received word from Amazon or local officials on exactly what happened.
A worker with Amazon told WREG they were told there was some kind of gas leak or chemical spill in the building. The evacuation lasted about two hours, before workers were brought back into a break room…
