STURBRIDGE, Mass. (WWLP) – A two-vehicle crash on I84 eastbound in Sturbridge caused serious injuries Tuesday afternoon, according to Massachusetts State Police.
I-91 Exit 12 off-ramps in Holyoke closed overnight for construction
The crash happened around 2:45 p.m. in the area of the Mass. Pike interchange, state police said.
Troopers were assisted at the scene by Sturbridge EMS, and a medical helicopter was called. Massachusetts State Police Collision Analysis and Reconstruction Section and Commercial Vehicle Enforcement Section, along with Worcester County detectives, were also on scene.
MassDOT was diverting traffic onto Route 20 while the scene remained active.
State police did not immediately provide information about the number of people injured or their conditions. The identities of those involved were also not immediately released…
