Southern California is bracing for an extended heat wave that will push temperatures 15 to 20 degrees above normal for several days.
Marine layer clouds and an onshore flow will keep afternoon highs in check through Thursday, but that is expected to change when a strong ridge of high pressure takes control on Friday.
“We’re definitely going to see some much warmer weather as the offshore flow from the east really starts to overtake Southern California,” KTLA meteorologist Henry DiCarlo said Wednesday morning. “It’s going to be a tough weather weekend for sure.”…
