Two men accused of illegally selling cannabis at Brockport Convenience

Sweden, N.Y. — Two men face charges in connection with unlicensed cannabis sales just outside the village of Brockport, according to the Monroe County Sheriff’s Office.

Sgt. Brendan Hurley said investigators recovered several pounds of cannabis, various cannabis-related products and currency at Brockport Convenience, located at the Brockport Corners Mall plaza on Route 19 just north of Route 31. A search of the suspects’ apartment on South Street in the village uncovered additional currency and keys to a storage closet at the plaza, where additional cannabis-related products were found.

Hurley said Ali Al Fanini, 32, was taken into custody Tuesday at the apartment, while Jalal Mohamed Alawi Hussein, 24, was found in a vehicle on West Ridge Road…
