Broward County residents can receive a free tree this Saturday as part of an initiative to expand green space and tree coverage across the county.
Broward County Commissioner Alexandra P. Davis will host the giveaway on Oct. 3 from 8 a.m. to noon at Miramar Pineland Park, 3600 S. University Drive in Miramar.
Residents can choose from five tree varieties: sweetsop, mango, June plum, soursop and Simpson’s stopper. One tree will be available per Broward County household, while supplies last. Proof of Broward County residency is required…
