An investigation leading the Peninsula School District to put three staff members on administrative leave on Monday involves allegations of “inappropriate communications” involving an 18-year-old and a 19-year-old, according to the Sheriff’s Office, though deputies have yet to uncover evidence that rises to the level of a crime.
It is not clear what the alleged communications were or how any of the parties were allegedly involved.
“I spoke with the detective on the case this morning, and we are currently investigating third-party allegations of inappropriate communications involving an 18- and 19-year-old,” Pierce County Sheriff’s Office spokesperson Carly Cappetto wrote in an email Thursday. “We do not have any victims of a crime who have come forward, but we will continue to investigate and work alongside Peninsula High School to ensure nothing is overlooked. As for staff being placed on administrative leave, the school makes those decisions under its standard policies and procedures.”…
