18-year-old on probation charged as an adult with offenses allegedly committed as a juvenile

GAINESVILLE, Fla. – Keshawn Tyrone Ferguson, who turned 18 on September 22, has been charged as an adult with burglary of a vehicle, grand theft of a vehicle, and possession of a firearm by an adjudicated delinquent, all allegedly committed when he was 17 years old.

On August 4, a Gainesville Police Department officer was investigating a report of a stolen Honda Civic, and a license plate reader showed that the vehicle had been seen traveling southbound on SW 23rd Drive from SW Archer Road at about 12:58 p.m. and then was seen traveling eastbound on Archer Road at about 1:08 p.m. Based on the directions of travel and the time lapse, the officer went to Wawa at 2373 SW Archer Road and asked to view surveillance video…
