WAGONER COUNTY, Okla. — Wet pavement caused a fatal wreck on US 69 in Wagoner County, killing a Missouri man and woman, the Oklahoma Highway Patrol reported on Friday.
Paul Kurt Simmons, 63, and Connie Johnson, 77, both of Springfield, died in the crash on Thursday around 1 p.m. when the BMW Simmons was operating lost control on the wet roadway, crossed the center line, and hit a tractor-trailer rig, OHP said.
Another passenger in Simmons’ vehicle was injured, but the patrol has not released their name…
