Woman suspected in string of fires after Sterling Heights utility pole blaze

Investigators are working to determine a motive after they arrested a woman for allegedly setting fire to a utility pole, disrupting power for thousands of customers.

Police in Sterling Heights said the 38-year-old Pittsfield Township woman is also suspected in similar incidents in other communities, including a recent fire that destroyed an auto parts store in Ypsilanti.
