A woman riding in a silver Honda Accord died after the car was struck while attempting a U-turn on Bellaire Boulevard late Wednesday night, and the man behind the wheel now faces a felony charge after showing signs of intoxication, according to Houston police. Giovany Flores, 34, was arrested and charged with intoxication manslaughter following the crash near 7700 Bellaire Blvd.
According to City of Houston News, the crash happened around 10:15 p.m. Wednesday when Flores, driving the Honda, failed to yield the right of way while attempting a U-turn. A white Lexus RX-330 traveling westbound on Bellaire struck the Honda, per the Houston Police Department report cited in the city’s account.
