Sapulpa closes Heritage Park playground over structural concerns
SAPULPA, Okla. – Heritage Park in Sapulpa has been a gathering place for families for more than two decades. Now, the wooden playground is closed after city employees found structural deterioration that officials say makes the play structure unsafe.
The city says it does not yet have funding to rebuild the playground, which could cost hundreds of thousands of dollars. Officials are beginning to look at what can be preserved and what a future version of the park could look like.
