The University of Nebraska-Lincoln’s school year blasted off Friday with the annual Homecoming parade and Cornstock Festival.
Crowds of students and alumni alike drew to the streets of 16th and R at 5:30 p.m. to find their spot to watch the parade. Raymond Nketsiah, a participant in the parade walking as part of the International Student Scholar Office section, explained why he wanted to walk in the parade.
“To represent my country, Ghana,” Nketsiah said. “When people see a flag, they ask about your country.”…
