Fire involving lithium-ion batteries causes $125,000 in damage to High Point home

HIGH POINT, N.C. (WGHP) — A High Point home was significantly damaged as a result of a fire involving lithium-ion batteries on Friday, according to the High Point Fire Department.

At around 2:16 p.m. on Friday, firefighters came to the 2300 block of Dallas Avenue after getting a report of a structure fire.

2 adults, 3 children displaced; 1 burned in Lexington house fire

At the scene, crews found the home with active flames showing. The fire was quickly brought under control.
