College of DuPage (COD) houses an abundance of resources to help students stay at the top of their game and succeed, the topmost perhaps being their dental hygiene clinic.
Not everyone has insurance. If you aren’t working a job that offers it, you might still be able to get by on your parent’s insurance – for a while. Unlike medical insurance, you aren’t always eligible to stay on your parents dental plan until you turn 26. Many COD students have experienced this, with over a quarter of our student body being over the age of 25.
For those who have not had the opportunity to visit the school’s Health and Science Center (HSC) and see the bouquet of colorful fliers that line the halls, COD’s dental hygiene students offer free dental cleanings and x-rays through the dental hygiene clinic as a part of their coursework.
