Kentucky Castle exec denies guests were filmed there, calls lawsuit claims ‘malicious’

An executive at The Kentucky Castle has denied that guests were filmed “in their room” after the Herald-Leader’s report of a lawsuit accusing the hotel owner of making hidden recordings of the venue.

Christie Eckerline, chief operating officer, said in an email to Castle employees obtained by the Herald-Leader that “at no time was a guest filmed in their room at The Kentucky Castle. It is unfortunate that in today’s world lawsuits can make malicious claims without merit.”

Eckerline did not immediately respond to questions from the Herald-Leader about other potential locations and if the hotel, venue and spa had been searched…
