If the traditional 8 p.m. showtime for Starlight Theatre’s popular musicals is a bit late for your lifestyle, you’re in luck.
Starlight will offer weekend matinées at the four weeklong musicals announced this week as part of its 2027 AdventHealth Broadway Series. The 2 p.m. performances on Saturdays and Sundays are possible because of Starlight’s $40 million overhaul that will feature a canopy shading about 3,200 seats. Ticket sales to the weekend matinées will be limited to about 2,500.
The second phase of the construction project, which began in 2024 and was delayed a year because of funding issues, began this month and is expected to be completed in time for next summer’s slate of plays and concerts.
