Guilty verdict for DC man who killed passenger, tried to hide evidence

WASHINGTON (7News) – A jury found a D.C. man guilty of first-degree murder for the December 2020 shooting death of a person in Southeast, D.C. In 2020, 32-year-old Dennis Chase was driving around the Washington Highlands neighborhood with another man, Anthony Orr, in the passenger seat, according to the government’s evidence. While driving down Xenia Street, Chase raised a gun and pointed it at Orr’s head then fired at him, officials said.
