Marion was on probation after serving five years for manslaughter. He was released on probation in January of this year, according to Chief Mills.

“The community’s quick notification allowed us to swiftly initiate an investigation and serves to demonstrate the value of community involvement in crime reduction,” Chief Rich Mills said.

With the help of Marion’s Probation officer, detectives were able to obtain a warrant for violating his probation.

According to PCPD, video surveillance shows Marion keeping an eye on a black sedan while he was in the convenience store before an argument ensued and Marion later shot at the car as it drove off.
