Texas woman with a passport told she can’t vote in N.J.

A young Texas woman currently now living in Ocean County lost a legal challenge today to be permitted to vote because she never registered. Superior Court Judge James Den Uyl read a letter from the woman, whose name is being withheld by the New Jersey Globe, that said: “I didn’t realize I needed to register. I just assumed that as long as you have an American passport, you can vote. I think it says wherever in the USA for President.”
