DATCP suspends poultry events in 20 southern Wisconsin counties due to bird flu

WISCONSIN — All poultry shows, exhibitions, swap meets and movement of poultry to other events have been suspended in 20 southern Wisconsin counties because of the bird flu.

It comes as there have been four cases of bird flu in commercial and backyard poultry flocks in the last month. Two were in Jefferson County, another was in Walworth and a fourth in Dane County.
