ST. LOUIS – Police are investigating after a woman was struck and killed while helping a stranded driver overnight Friday on Interstate 70.
According to the St. Louis Metropolitan Police Department (SLMPD), a Ford Explorer was traveling eastbound on I-70 just before 1 a.m. The rain caused the driver to lose control, leaving the vehicle disabled in the roadway due to the damage left behind.
A woman stopped to aid the driver when a Chevy Silverado, also traveling eastbound I-70, struck the woman and the Ford Explorer. The woman was pronounced dead at the scene…
