Driver caught going 180 mph after illegal car meet-up re-arrested

GRAND RAPIDS, Mich — A man originally released after leading police on a high-speed chase was arrested again, relating to the same incident.

Kent County Sheriff’s Office shared a video on social media, shot from a Michigan State Police helicopter and police dash cameras, as a message to deter illegal car meet-ups and underline the danger of the March 28 chase.

In it, you can see the suspect vehicle reaching speeds over 180 mph on US-131 before entering a neighborhood off Pine Island Dr, ultimately parking inside a garage before police arrived.
