The Fred Meijer White Pine Trail State Park has received the Pure Michigan Trail designation from the Pure Michigan Office, part of the Michigan Economic Development Corporation, the organization announced during the annual Pure Michigan Governor’s Conference.
“This adds yet one more accolade to a growing number that the trail has acquired over recent years,” Friends of the White Pine Trail member Paul Griffith said.
Those accolades include being a 100% paved trail, the longest single paved trail in Michigan, and the third longest single paved trail in the country, plus, being named one of the Top 100 Rails-to-Trails in the country…
