FANNETTSBURG- A victim had to be taken to York Hospital following a stabbing over cell phone in northern Franklin County. Dakota Raymond Brodie remains incarcerated on $250,000 bail after being charged with felony aggravated assault with a deadly weapon, misdemeanor simple assault, and citation disorderly conduct engaging in fighting.
Just before 2pm on April 11th, Pennsylvania State Police Troopers were called to a location on Chestnut Avenue, Metal Township, in the community of Fannettsburg for a report of a stabbing and men engaging in a fight. Troopers would speak with two men, including Dakota Brodie, who reportedly told them that there was “only a verbal altercation that occurred between them and the victim.” The argument, they say, was over a phone that belonged to one of the party’s girlfriend.
However, other PSP Troopers enroute to the scene instead met with the victim at a location on Path Valley Road. Police say that the victim had a 1″ puncture wound in his lower back that caused significant pain and bleeding. That victim would tell those Troopers that he received texts that morning from Dakota Brodie asking where a phone was. After saying he had “no knowledge about a phone,” he was told to go to Brodie’s trailer…
