Suspect in custody after high-speed chase in Effingham County, Pooler

EFFINGHAM COUNTY, Ga. (WTOC) – A suspect is now in custody after a high-speed chase that started in Effingham County and ended in Pooler.

The Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (ATF) was surveying a home on Highway 17 in Effingham County just before 12:30 p.m. Monday due to a suspect who law enforcement said had been selling illegal guns and gun parts.

ATF agents asked for assistance from the Effingham County Sheriff’s Office.
