Seeking change in an overwhelmed Massachusetts family court system, domestic violence survivors brought their stories straight to those with the power to act: candidates for the Governor’s Council, the little‑known body that confirms judges.
As the women shared their stories of the court system and cried together, Mara Dolan, who was running against an incumbent, “promised to be our voices and represent us,” one survivor said.
