This is a pattern where nothing is promised — except above normal high temperatures (normal being 56 in Boston and 55 in Worcester) — and nothing is assumed. While we may hit the 70s and 80s in the coming days, don’t expect to hold onto that into the late afternoon. And even though most of the day may be dry, we still can’t rule out a few showers.
We’re lobbing between warm air moving up from the south and chilly air moving in from the east. Each day we’ll see a fast run up to the 70s, then a sharp cooldown in the mid to late afternoon. Some days that’ll be only at the coast. Other days that will be everywhere. As a reminder, the 10-day reflects Boston temperatures (and therefore the sea breeze). It’ll likely be much warmer away from the city on some of these days.
