ROCHESTER, N.Y. (WROC) — A local Rochester restaurant has once again become a finalist in the Best NY Burger Competition.
Rochester’s Tap It Bar & Grill, located on Scottsville Road, has made the New York Beef Council’s Top 10 Best NY Burgers. The restaurant has reached the finals in this competition before, but has never claimed the top spot — last year, it even made it to the Final Four.
Here are the other nine finalists that the Tap It owners will be facing in the competition:
- Ale & Angus in Syracuse
- Ben’s Fresh in Port Jervis
- Brewer Union Cafe in Brewerton
- Columbus Public House in Sherburne
- Illusive in Rensselaer
- Matterson Hotel in Illion
- Pound Town Burger Bar in Syracuse
- Savoy Taproom in Albany
- Shelly’s Deli in Endicott
Next, a panel of anonymous judges will visit Tap It and the other restaurants to evaluate their burgers. The winner will be announced on May 13, 2026…
