City of Wichita agrees to buy future parking garage near Equity Bank Park

WICHITA, Kan. (KSNW) — The Wichita City Council voted 6-0 on Tuesday to purchase a parking garage near Equity Bank Park for $9.6 million once it is complete.

Mayor Lily Wu was not in attendance.

The 300-stall garage will be built at the corner of Maple Street and McLean Boulevard as part of a hotel, apartment and retail project development.
