You can learn all sorts of things at meetings of Albemarle’s community advisory committee. These groups are intended to help with implementation of various master planers.
Attendees of the 5th and Avon CAC meeting scheduled for April 16 will learn more about how to find out about development projects in the county as well as the status of a project to upgrade a roadway within their jurisdiction. (meeting info)
“The purpose of this project is to construct approximately 650 linear feet of pedestrian pathway and two crosswalks along a portion of Old Lynchburg Road, including under the spans for I-64, to provide safe pedestrian interconnectivity between residential units and recreational/outdoors opportunities,” reads a description from the latest report from Albemarle’s Facilities and Environmental Services department.
