VIRGINIA BEACH, Va. (WAVY) — Jennifer Mulligan appeared before a Virginia Beach Circuit court judge Tuesday, admitting to killing her father back in May 2025 at her home on Rodney Lane.
Woodard McClure, 90, was shot and killed in his bedroom by Mulligan, who afterwards called 911.
“It’s a grisly scene and he is an older, older gentleman as well,” said Mulligan’s attorney, Roger Whitus. “But she was completely cooperative with the police. She called in some of them herself. She gave no issues. She provided a full, complete and cooperative statement to police. She allowed them to search through her phone, and she’s cooperated every step of the way.”
