Former bishop accused arson appears in court

LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WAVE) – The case against a Louisville bishop accused of trying to burn down his own church is facing another delay.

Jonathon Mullins appeared in court April 15. His church, Greater New Hope Community Church, burned down five years ago in March 2021. It has been two years since Mullins was arraigned on arson charges in the case.

Investigators believe Mullins is responsible for starting the fire which destroyed the church. He’s charged with one count of arson…
