Midstate police issue warning for electric bikes and scooters

(WHTM) — Midstate police are alerting the public of the dangers that come from riding electric bikes and scooters.

“We’re definitely seeing an influx of younger kids and teenagers riding a variety of electric scooters and electric bikes on the road in the sidewalk,” said Lt. Alex Milletics with the Lower Allen Police Department. “We have had a few, unfortunately, a few collisions and obviously a ton of close calls. And then, you know, there’s various accidents where kids are falling off or going off sidewalks and getting hurt as well.”
