PHOTOS: Hundreds of pounds of narcotics seized after 2 arrested in Vista

VISTA, Calif. (FOX 5/KUSI) — The San Diego County Sheriff’s Office (SDSO) announced Thursday that its Vista Gang Enforcement Team (GET) arrested two people who allegedly had hundreds of pounds of narcotics stored in residences and storage units in San Diego and Chula Vista.

According to SDSO, on April 9, GET deputies came into contact with the two suspects on Main Street in Vista. During a search of the suspects’ vehicle, the deputies reportedly seized 81 tablets of Alprazolam (commonly known as Xanax), dozens of cannabis and nicotine e-cigarettes and $2,545.

The suspects, who are 21 and 22 years old, were arrested at the scene and booked into the Vista Detention Facility.

Through the investigation, deputies learned that the two suspects were reportedly using Instagram to sell controlled substances to buyers throughout San Diego County. Law enforcement located a storage unit and two residences in Chula Vista and San Diego that were allegedly associated with the suspects…
